Follow the steps.
Add what you need
Type an item in the shopping list and tap the plus button to save it. The household list count updates.
Set a useful quantity
Open Edit beside the item, type the amount you need and save. The updated quantity appears beneath its name.
Check it off
Tap the circle beside the item when it is picked up. The completed item is crossed out. This film uses one clearly labelled temporary demo item.

Add an item to your household shopping list. Open Edit, enter the amount you need, and save. The quantity appears on the list. Tap the circle when you have picked it up, so everyone can see it is done.
